I founded Autism Ability Advocates, Inc. as a 501c(3) charity in 2004. I was compelled to start my non-profit because of the growing concerns I had for my own son who was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and severe sensory integration disorder. I felt a need to find solutions that went beyond typical interventions, and prioritized Quality of Life. This led to the mission statement and creation of services and programs that would promote the independence, health, and happiness of individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other special needs.”
