Mission: Promoting the independence, health, and happiness of individuals with autism spectrum disorder, and other special needs.

More About the Director & Founder

Autism Ability Advocates, Inc. was founded by Denice Stout with one big goal in mind: helping individuals with autism and other special needs live healthier, happier, and more independent lives. For more than 25 years, she has created meaningful programs, hands-on support, and advocacy opportunities that uplift both individuals and the caregivers who support them every day.

Denice brings together a unique mix of leadership, education, and real-life experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Production Management and a Master’s degree in Education, along with certifications in Special Needs Life Planning. She is also passionate about Positive Behavioral Support strategies that focus on encouragement, connection, and helping individuals thrive in everyday life.

I founded Autism Ability Advocates, Inc. as a 501c(3) charity in 2004. I was compelled to start my non-profit because of the growing concerns I had for my own son who was non-verbal and diagnosed with autism, severe sensory integration disorder, and epilepsy. I felt a need to find solutions that went beyond typical interventions, and prioritized Quality of Life. This led to the mission statement and creation of services and programs that would promote the independence, health, and happiness of individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other special needs.”
